The exercises in these units are designed to help you "hear" with your eyes, a technique herein described as "sight-reading". The following sight-reading exercises refer in some fashion to a very familiar melody. There are twists, however, that will require you to hear with your eyes to find the correct answer. These get harder and harder as we go. Whatever you try, do not play any of the exercises on an instrument other than your own voice. In this fashion, you will build your "listening eyes" greatly enhancing your ability to recreate what you see on paper with an instrument later.
